Avenue Q

I took my goddaughter Bri to Avenue Q on Saturday afternoon. As many of you may know, I love musicals. I have seen most of the classics and many of the new ones. I have to say, this has to rank at top 5 in my all time favorite, along with Rent, Les Miz, Miss Saigon and Phantom of the Opera. I thought the lyrics were very clever and music was just wonderful. The cast were very talented and I really enjoyed the overall performance.

The second song of the show was called “What do you do with a B.A. in English? It sucks to be me”. Bree and I looked at each other and bursted out laughing. You see, she’s a Junior in high school and she is going to major in English in college. I told her “You will be saying that in 6 years from now”, she didn’t think so but it was all amusing nonetheless.

Highly recommended, although it had some adult language and scenes it was very entertaining overall.
